"Buksan ang 'yong mga mata, kahit may luha. Mamahalin parin kita, at tutulungang-- LUMAYA. :)
I just arrived home from Notre Dame De Vie Retreat House. Our class just had our yearly recollection & to tell you frankly, this is one of the best ones we had. We also had plans for T.Paul (which later on became successful) & aside from that our class learned this morning that it's Sir Agot's birthday so it we became giddy and excited.
Anyway, moving on we arrived at the retreat house before 9AM and we were welcomed by Miss Amy. We also surrendered our gadgets so that we may gain focus and besides, we will only be staying at the retreat house for a couple of hours, in short- we SACRIFICED. :) Miss Flor and Miss Neth talked to us first and gave us few reminders the usual, we should have focus and we should be in silence for our Father in heaven speaks through silence. We also practiced some songs intended for the mass. After that Miss Amy came and she gave us a backround of Fr. Marie Eugene's life since he will be our companion for this year. So when we were in our 6th grade it was Emerintiana, last year Elijah and now, Fr. Marie Eugene. If you may ask me what's so special about him- WELL! He was the one who built the Notre Dame De Vie, he's really cool and religious. We discussed some more and after that we had our recess, then we went to the chapel then we prayed and asked God to give us the gifts of the Holy Spirit so that we may live a fruitful life. After that Sir Agot discussed stuffs about the Holy Spirit the canvass painting, and if you happen to click the play button on the video above-- Sir Agot said we need to listen to that song and it's message is very meaningful. It is composed by Fr. Mimo Perez, it's title is "Buksan". Try listening to it. :) After that we had our lunch and the food was great! Thumbs up to the workers of NDVRH. :> Had our confession, and in the end we had the mass. Our parents are there already, well some my classmate's parents ain't there so I'm grateful 'cos despite mama's tired and feeling ill she attended. After the mass we had our encounter with our parents. They gave words of wisdom for us to be guided and in the end-- ATE WITH THEM at the dining hall. We also gave Sir Agot a cake and we gave our beloved adviser T.Paul a card filled with messages and pictures. I only spent few hours at the retreat house but I can say that this is one of the most memorable experience.
In the end we learned many lessons and we vowed to change for the better and later on, for the best. I'll try to visit the retreat house once in a while. Anyway we'll be having our recollection once again next year. I hope to see our facilitators again. :D Thank you Mahinahon and to all the persons who made this event possible, I know God will bless you a hundredfold. :) Congrats to us for a successful recollection!
